Yes, I know it's October but it was oddly warm and I was dying to get my gorgeous spring style dress another outing before the winter greys really kick in. So last weekend was really special, two of my friend's celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary and the christening of their daughter, Evelyn. It's amazing to think that I attended their wedding only a year ago and now they have a beautiful baby girl.
It was extra special as my friend as me to bake the cake for christening. So this what I spent last Friday doing all day.

The top layer was chocolate, bottom was vanilla, and Evelyn's nickname is Eevee (hence the Pokemon.) My favourite part the flowers which where so delicate to make but very simple. Using a flower cookie cutter, I cut out the flowers and gently folded edges up and add a pearl to the centre.
I also found this gorgeous dress from New Look, which is so pretty and fresh. I was torn between the Jacquard Lace Peplum Pencil Dress in blue or peach but in the end went for the patterned which is a lovely mix of both. Which worked great with shoes I already had. It was so comfortable to wear and as a last minute purchase is definitely something that I'm going to be wearing regularly.

It was hard work trying to get it the cake perfect, but it was so much fun and I'm so pleased I could do this for my friends. Very proud baker - next step Great British Bake Off!
