I know I'm suppose to be saving money, but I couldn't resist getting this amazing Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter from Tiger. So I made some delicious heart shaped pancakes and English Breakfast with heart shaped eggs for Valentine's breakfast.
Dead simple cooking with the Tiger Cookie Cutter, definitely going to be using it for special breakfasts and baking again.
For Pancakes: Cook pancakes as usual (see recipe below) and then cut them out with the cutter. 30 seconds in the microwave, to reheat, and pour melted chocolate and heart shaped cupcake sprinkles to decorate.
For Eggs: Place the cutter in the frying pan and add cold oil. Crack 2 eggs into the cutter and turn on the a low to medium heat. Keeping the cutter in the pan slowly increase the heat and spoon oil on to the egg to cook the top. Once the eggs cooked, remove the cutter and flip egg over. Voilà!
I'm not much of a breakfast person, but making it into a special meal is always fun. Let me know if you've tried this before, or if you have any other ways of using giant cookie cutters.
